Below are some general FAQ's that apply to all sessions.

General Session FAQ's

How do I schedule?

A.Prior to booking a session, I prefer to have a consultation with all new clients to not only understand your session goals, but to also have a brief "get to know each other" moment. This can be done either over the phone or in person; I do not do consults via messenger or text. Should you choose to move forward after the consult, we can book your session at that time. Sessions are by appointment only and require a 72 hour notice. A 50% non-refundable retainer fee is due at the time of booking.

Will there be a second shooter?

A.At this time, no. All sessions are shot solely by me, Stacie. I may occasionally bring an assistant to help with your session, but it's not guaranteed and no extra charge to you.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

A.If you decide to make adjustments to your session in the middle of it, I will evaluate if time and light allows. Any additions made during the session will incur additional fees, to be added to your invoice before your gallery will be available. A second invoice will be sent for immediate payment.

Do you require a contract to sign?

A.Yes, all clients (paying or not) are required to sign a contract at the time of booking. This is to ensure your expectations of what you'll receive are met, as well as all parties understanding the legal expectations for you as the client and for the protection of SLP.

Do I have to order prints through you?

A.All clients will receive their images as a digital download along with print rights, so you are free to choose your own print lab. I do, however, HIGHLY recommend using my photo lab as I can guarantee their quality of work. Please refer to your client contract for further details or send me a message if you have additional questions.

Does SLP offer mini sessions?

A.At this time, I do not. That is an avenue I will be pursuing in the future; hopefully beginning in either the late fall of 2025 or in the spring of 2026.

Can I add pets to my session?

A.Pets are always a welcome addition to any session as I'm very much an animal lover! Each pet is an additional fee, due to the unpredictability of your critters behavior. Because of this, there is a clause in the portrait contract that does not hold SLP liable for any missed shots due to anxious or upset pets. Additionally, your pet is your responsibility; any injury to said pet, family member, SLP staff member or passerby falls to you as the pet owner.

Where is your service area? Do you shoot outside of the Treasure Valley?

A.All sessions are shot within the Treasure Valley proper (Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Nampa and Caldwell) on location. Any session locations outside of that service area, are an additional $1/mile, as well as travel time, roundtrip.
